Almond Fudge Brownie

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup white whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp flax mill
  • 1/4 cup apple sauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp chopped almonds

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a small bowl, combine the flax mill with two tablespoons of water. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, add the dry ingredients and whisk together.
  • In a separate smaller bowl, mix together the wet ingredient. Stir and then add the wet ingredients to the dry.
  • Mix together with a rubber spatula or hand mixer. Once batter is mixed, add in one tablespoon of the chopped almonds and mix in.
  • Line a 9 inch round baking pan with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray. Then pour in the brownie batter.
  • Top with chopped almonds and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Allow brownie to cool before enjoying.
